What is an Urban Streetscape Design?
The urban street design uses a combination of paved street, public sidewalk, and the planting of trees to create a more ascetically appealing street than the standard street constructed in the average subdivision.  The street is constructed using a narrower cross section than a typical street.  The urban street design has a street that is twenty six feet wide instead of thirty feet.  The community sidewalks are located a minimum of 10 feet from the curb.  The area between the sidewalk and the curb is planted with a variety of trees that produce scenic canopies.  The end result is a street that reminds us of a Norman Rockwell painting where life slows down and the occasional cat may have to be rescued from a tree in the front yard.
