2007 Rocket City Dream Home FAQs

1. What are the dates of this year’s Rocket City Dream Home event?

The Rocket City Dream Home event begins Saturday October 6, 2007 and lasts through Sunday, October 14, 2007.

2. When is the best time to come tour the Rocket City Dream Home?

The Dream Home will open October 6, 2007 and will be open until October 14, 2007. The hours are:

  • Saturdays Oct. 6th  & 13th  10 a.m.—6 p.m.
  • Sundays  Oct. 7th & 14th 1 p.m.—6 p.m.
  • Monday—Friday  Oct. 8th—13th  1 p.m.—6 p.m.

3. Does visiting the Rocket City Dream Home cost money?

No. We are proud to invite you to our 2007 Dream Home as a guest, however donations for Lincoln Village Ministry will be accepted at the door.

4. How many people are expected to visit this year’s Dream Home?

In 2005, Woodland Homes welcomed 4,500 people to the Dream Home. In 2006, nearly 8,000 people visited the Dream Home. This year, we expect to see no fewer than 10,000 during our 9-day Dream Home event.

5. Will there be information on Woodland Homes communities available at this event?

Yes. There will be information at the event, and there will also be information available about our Woodland Homes’ Fall Festival of Homes.

6. Will the event be kid-friendly?

Yes. Woodland Homes invites your whole family to the Rocket City Dream Home.

7. Is the Dream Home for Sale?

The Dream Home is not for sale, but other home sites in Lake Pointe are available. An information area will be available at the Dream Home to set up appointments for further information.

While visiting the Dream Home, Please respect the owner’s wishes:

1-No food or drinks inside the home.

-Please remove your high heel shoes and boots. Place booties over other shoes. Bare-foot entry is allowed.

-Parents, please supervise your children at all times.

-Please do not sit or lounge on the furniture. Please do not touch or handle any of the decorative items.

-Please do not touch or bump the walls with your hands or purses.

-Please be respectful of the other guests and keep your tour inside of the home limited to 20 minutes.

 

8. Is the Dream Home related to the Fall Parade of Homes sponsored by the Home Builders' Association?

While the Dream Home is not related in any way to the Parade of Homes, Woodland Homes is a member of the Home Builders' Association and has been an active member since 1996.

9. Will there be food and drinks?

Vendors will be available on both Saturdays during the event selling hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks.

10. What if I am out of town during the dates of the event and I want to view the Dream Home?

If you are interested in viewing the home, VIP Tours are available.
