Russ,
Can't tell you how much Lois and I enjoyed meeting the man behind the email updates. We really appreciate your efforts in our behalf. We are quite pleased with all we have seen in our brief visit to our new home. We call it "Sweet Home Alabama" and are really looking forward to the time when we finally sell our home in Dayton and complete our move.
Again our thanks to you, the Woodland Homes Team and your extremely polite and hardworking sub-contractors for making this such a good experience.

Mr. Friday –
Today was an exhilarating day for my family. After several months of watching wood and sawdust fly, we closed on our new Woodland Home on the day predicted and without a significant issue remaining. We are tremendously excited about our transition from Decatur over to Madison and anticipating this day has made waiting that much harder.
These days, people are quick to criticize when things don’t go their way. Yet, they fail to compliment when things go well. In our case, not passing on a few words of praise and gratitude would be a disservice to some great Woodland Homes representatives. Without exception, every single person (Lisa Miller, Tony Nicholson, Keith Vernon and Susan Klopfenstein) we encountered along our path was superior. Having heard horror stories of home building experiences from friends, I was unprepared for such a spectacular cast of folks. In every case, my questions and requests were addressed promptly, thoroughly and with consideration of the “home buyer’s perspective” on the situation. I never encountered a bad attitude, a side-ways glance, or an unfulfilled promise. Please take a moment if you will to extend my thanks to each of these folks. They made our encounter a pleasure and we now count them as our friends.
I do want to single out two people for an extra dose of praise. Matt Curtis is spectacular. At our first meeting, I outlined our situation and gave Matt a series of hurdles to jump in order to gain my confidence and trust. The most important one was patience. I won’t explain the details but I knew it would take several months for us to ultimately make a decision. Matt kept pace...never pushed or pressured...and let us convince ourselves that we were making the right decision. I look forward to having him now as one of my neighbors! He’s a good man and makes a great impression for Woodland.
Lastly, I want to single out Bryan Walker. Words really fail me here. Since we wrote our earnest check, I have been by our house almost every day as part of my morning commute. Coincidentally, I was usually passing through as Bryan was making his morning rounds. Every day, Bryan would stop and walk the house with me...answering my questions and telling me what would be happening next in the process. I warned him early on that I was a terminally curious person – and a terminal pain. I can’t tell you the number of odd requests I gave Bryan during these excursions. I can tell you that he responded to and acted on every one of them. He went way beyond the call of duty to make me understand and feel comfortable with the anxieties of home building. After 20 years of moving my family with the Army, I told Bryan that my goal was to build a home that my wife could truly call her own and that my kids would remember with great fondness when they were grown. Today, Bryan gave me that house.
The measure of success, as I told everyone involved – including subcontractors I met along the way – was to go through the final inspection and see my wife smile as we walked out the door. To me, her smile is one of the most beautiful things in this world. Today, she was radiant and my children were asking to camp in the house tomorrow night...no furniture required.
I am aware that you do routine staff calls to review the positives and negatives of the preceding weeks. I also know that people get called out at these meetings. I certainly want Lisa, Tony, Keith, Susan, Matt and Bryan to receive accolades in this forum. More importantly though, I’d like for you to personally take a moment in the next few days to tell each of these guys, “Job well done!” and tell Bryan that he’s amazing. I can give you endless anecdotes on each of these folks and would be happy to provide any additional information you might need.
I’ll look forward to shaking your hand on 24 April at the PMHOA picnic! Thank you again for a great day!!
Respectfully,
Tom H. |
I'm very pleased with the response from you and the customer care team. We are bragging about you guys and the quality of care and concern that you have in the product you sell.
Thanks so much for everything,

Susan,
Michelle and Russ were delightful guests in our home this morning to perform the orientation. Like every other Woodland Homes representative, they were polite, attentive to our needs, and professional.
Amy and I want to relay our thanks to Woodland Homes for taking this extra step in helping us to close out the remaining repairs and to better understand and appreciate our new home.
To close let me share the fact that I've not seen my wife this pleased with her home and surroundings since our days in New Mexico.
Amy and I will continue to spread the positive word about Woodland Homes to others relocating to Huntsville.

Mike and Melissa Friday,
Having just completed our second Christmas Season in our new Woodland Home, it's high time we let you know how pleased we are with our upgraded McFarlin Park model.
We are delighted with the kitchen/breakfast nook/keeping room trilogy complete with imbedded, brick-framed concrete veranda, oriented just right for best view of the conservancy and our side grove (known affectionately, by our nine grandchildren, as "Grandpa's woods").
We are constantly enjoying our spacious foyer/living room with the high ceiling throughout and the 16 foot high "majestic" windows you so graciously provided with the rebate we received for being among the first five in Walden Preserve. The extra-large windows draw the nearby trees and shrubbery of the conservancy into the living room, and provide great views of the day and night skies.
Our modified master bedroom, which was enlarged to absorb the sitting room area, together with its beautiful double tray ceiling, is a pleasure to sleep in. The master bath, modified to our desires for a bathroom more like the Brookhaven model, complete with skylights over the tub and shower, and vaulted ceiling with chandelier, is pleasurably luxurious.
We have a large collection of books and are especially enjoying the library with its beautiful built-in bookshelves. The vaulted ceiling and large, attractively shaped front window make it a delightful reading, computer, and music room.
We love the way you extended the garage an extra ten feet to accommodate a workshop area, as well as three auto stalls, and two additional side windows on the first floor, which enabled the small bedroom over the garage to be enlarged to a 30 foot bonus room above the garage (22'x16' + 8'x12') with two side windows above the garage side windows, providing extra light and cross ventilation on balmy days. My nine grandchildren love it (air hockey, ping pong, entertainment center, work-out center, etc.)
We really appreciate the way you maximized the floor space of the extra bedroom upstairs (14'8x16'10), and its large closet. It has plenty of room for a king-size bed and elegant bedroom furniture. The spaciousness of the room and private ¾ bath make it an excellent guest room - our guests love it.
One of the extras we enjoy every day is the wired in sound system throughout the downstairs rooms, with large plasma screens over the fireplaces in the living and keeping rooms. Even the veranda and back deck have speakers, so the music flows everywhere. The central control room under the stairway (by Chip and his team) is remarkably convenient. Kudos to Chip's team for a great audio/visual environment.
Speaking of the back deck, we are very pleased with the brick-framed concrete deck with wrought-iron railing and special brick light posts on each side of the back stairs.
Having a huge attic storage space is another great feature of this home. By adding some plywood over the rafters in the attic adjacent to the bonus room, and an extra access door, we have access to over 1000 cubic feet of storage space.
In addition to the beautiful home resulting from all your efforts, we very much appreciate the Woodland Home people and process. You and your team of staff and vendors were all friendly, competent, and responsive to our needs. The process outlined in your Customer Service Manual, with appropriate contact points, left us in no doubt of the direction, milestones, and contact people we would be consulting throughout the buying and building process. Kudos are well deserved by all.
While there is a danger of leaving out someone, we do want to mention those who stand out in our memory of our first new home purchase and building experience. We understand, also, that some staff moved on into their own businesses, but that just amplifies the fact that you know how to pick excellent people with a kindred, entrepreneurial spirit. Tim, world class new home specialist, got us off to a great start. Other standouts are: Tony (cabinets), Lisa (interior), Matt (ops. Mgr.), Joshua (drafting), Bill (constr. Mgr.), Mark (framing supv.), Keith (quality assurance), Paige (warranty), Matt (warranty). Vendors who were especially helpful and accommodating were: Annette (A/C), Ken (electrical), Philip (electrical), Adam (Swearengin Trim), Danny (flooring), Abel (paint & wall board), Angela (lighting), and Dennis (plumbing).
Finally, thanks to you, Mike, for being "The Builder That Listens" and providing us with our dream home.
Gratefully Yours,
Bill and Carol Kuhn |
Susan,
Please pass on to management and the Woodland Homes team my appreciation for Christa Yost’s support concerning warranty issues related to our Home in Bishop Farms. She is incredibility responsive and a true professional. I can honestly say that my most recent experiences with the customer care department; specifically with Christa, have been truly outstanding. Again, she is very responsive and has never failed to provide us with great customer care support.

Dear Woodland Homes-Attention Mike Friday,
We close on our home this week and are so excited about moving into our home. Every step of the building process has been so much fun and such a pleasure.
After looking for about a year at the Huntsville area to buy a pre-existing home or considering building a home, we finally decided to look at one more builder before leaving the Huntsville area while visiting here from Navarre, Florida. We were determined that we were going to leave the Florida area after evacuating for 3 different hurricanes. Also, my son living in biloxi had previously lost everything he owned in Hurricane Katrina, so it was just a matter of time that we would leave the Florida area and move elsewhere. We just didn't know where.
Anyway, we saw your Woodland Homes signs and your design center on Hwy 72 and decided to check out one more possibility. We met Joan at your center, and she was absolutely delightful! She just could not say enough good things about building with Woodland Homes!
She shared your beautiful model with us and told us about several other subdivisions where we might be able to buy or build one of your homes. We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship that we found in your homes. Everyone that we met was so kind and willing to spend time with us.
We were directed to the Whitworth Farms model and met Brian Roth. He has been just wonderful to work with! Brian has spent many hours locating information for us visiting with s, sending us email pictures and assuring us that all of our concerns and questions would be addressed as they have occurred. we chose the Windham.
We have made numerous trips from Florida to visit the lot and to keep tabs on the building process. Every time we have done so, we have felt confident about the building process, and that we've made the right decision in working with your company.
Our home is almost completed. It is gorgeous! Our construction supervisor was Dave Tarwater, and he has done a fantastic job of making sure all of the fine details have been carefully completed. The landscaping is better than expected. The clean-up crews have been so accommodating and very pleasant to work with. They have been there 3 times in the last three weeks cleaning, polishing and power washing. The windows are spotless and the house just sparkles! We are so proud to be closing on it this week!
We had the privilege today of visiting your Goosepond subdivision near Scottsboro and met Frieda and Mr. Jackson. Joan at your design center had encouraged us to visit, just because it is such a lovely development. Frieda gave us the tour and packet about the area. We also appreciated the bottled water on such a hot day! Mr. Jackson was also a pleasure to talk with! Everyone that we have had contact with has been so pleasant and very knowledgeable in whatever their job entails. It is truly a unique and beautiful subdivision. We had a lovely visit with them today and appreciated their kind hospitality.
When we visited the design center to make all of our choices of fixtures, colors, cabinets and details, we were somewhat apprehensive of trying to accomplish so much in such a short time. However, Lisa Miller was such a sweetheart to share her decorating expertise with us, and it was actually very easy and much fun! I really liked her suggestions, and I felt very confident with all of her advice as we picked the fixtures, brick and colors. She was great to work with, even though it was for such a short time!
Tony Nicholson was also a wonderful person to help us with the cabinet choices. Tony has a great sense of humor, patience of job and he was very professional in his demeanor. He did wonders with advising us how to get my cherry cabinets with al the extra touches. I love the desk and plate racks! They are all so beautiful, and I can hardly wait to use my kitchen. The granite was beautifully installed. The appliances are top of the line, and the lighting was well thought out. I really like the design in my kitchen!
I know there are so many "behind the scenes" people that I have never met that help make working with your company a successful and enriching experience. I'm so glad that we were divinely directed to check out "one more builder" before buying our new home. I feel like some of the people that we have met and worked with will become like family for us, and there may be a lifetime bond with some of you. That speaks very well of your team and the wonderful way that they work together.
I want to thank you personally for making our building experience such a pleasure! We love our new home! We wish you and your team of very professional staff members every happiness in the years ahead! Many thanks!
Sincerely,
Steve and Lorrie B. |
I recently found out that Woodland Homes agreed to help the Buckingham HOA pay for the sidewalk to provide the children of both our neighborhoods access to the school crosswalk. I would like to say thank you. My wife and I have seen quite a few of your houses, and the quality of homes you build combined with the community support such as this will definitely be bringing us to check out Woodland Homes first next time we decide to move.
Sincerely,
Peter and Jenny Lovassy |
John,
It has been quite a journey for us but thanks to you, we made it! You have been a key player in our process to purchase this home as well as a much appreciated source of support and encouragement. Quite honestly, I don't think we would have pursued as we did had it not been for your assistance. Javier and I both agree that you are by far the best thing about Woodland Homes. Thank you for everything!
Javier and Linda A. |
Good Morning Woodland Homes Team,
I want to commend you all for a job well done!! My wife and I are TOTALLY satisfied with your service and professional performance.
The only comment I would have is to ensure that any future Construction Managers be as trained and professional as Mr. Jeff Vernon is. I would definitely recommend Woodland homes to any new home buyer. I look forward to living in a great home for years to come!
God Bless!
Sincerely,
Harry and Erica |
Shayne,
This email is from both Wayne and me. We want you and Mike Friday to know how pleased we are with having the opportunity to work with Matt Curtis. We met Matt for the first time back in mid-February when we were first considering our move to Huntsville. We fell in love with the Burch model in Bishop Farms and Matt has been holding our hand every step of the way. We have emailed him almost daily since February with endless questions. Matt has always been helpful and most importantly friendly. I think he has one of the calmest demeanors of anyone I know. Matt has consistantly gone above and beyond the call of duty to help us. He was kind enough to take pictures of the inside of the Burch when it was the model home and email them to us. He took a number of pictures of our lot at different times of the year so we could see how the trees look from the back of our home. He kept us posted on any issues we needed to know about. Matt has made our lives easier going through this wonderful but stressful time of relocating and building. He has come to feel like family to us.
We spent the last two days at your main office meeting with Matt Lombardi, Tony and Lisa. I have (alias Tammy) in parenthesis because for the first two hours I called Lisa Tammy and she was kind enough not to correct me. We really laughed out loud when another associate came into the room and called her Lisa. She was so much help to us in making our decisions. We couldn't be happier with our choices and we attribute this to Lisa's expertise. Matt Lombardi was also great to work with. He too is very knowledgeable and was quite helpful to us during our PRM meeting. And then there is Tony. What a great guy to work with. We not only got started late with our meeting with him (our fault) but he stayed late to help us again in the afternoon with another go around of ideas we had. He was so helpful and knowledgeable not to mention friendly and so patient with us. We had some great laugh out loud times during the sessions with him and those are hard to come by. We are so glad to be a part of the Woodland Homes "family".
In summary, the product of course is a great one but the fine people who work at Woodland Homes are what make this company top notch. We are glad to be here and look forward to moving into our home and continued relationships with the folks at Woodland.
Sincerely,
Wayne and Jeanine Taylor

Just a note to say ‘thank-you’ for exhibiting outstanding professionalism in the purchase of my new home. Your caring personality and effective communication skills facilitated a smooth closing. Every home buyer should have a Realtor like you. Thanks again and God Bless!

Dear Susan,
We are writing to express our appreciation for the wonderful home buying experience we had with Woodland Homes. We moved to the Madison area in June 2003 from Louisiana and immediately became interested in Woodland Homes. Although we didn't purchase a home right away, we did continue to look at the homes until we felt financially stable enough to purchase our dream home. We stopped at the model home in Walden Preserve on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Joseph Lawrence. He was a wealth of information and was always professional and courteous. We ended up signing a contract that night on the home located at 108 Tailwind Ct (Lot 123) and made Joseph late for a dinner appointment with his wife. However, he never once rushed us or made us feel like we were keeping him from something more important.
Brandon Catron was assigned as my construction manager and was very pleasant to work with. He was always professional, courteous and on-time for appointments. He made sure all items were handled during the pre-settlement inspection and final walk through.
Woodland Homes also helped us out greatly by allowing us to sign an early occupancy agreement a week before closing. This allowed us to move out of our previous home prior to closing in order to hand over possession at closing. We greatly appreciate this.
Overall we had a wonderful buying experience and will definitely highly recommend Woodland Homes to our friends.
Sincerely,
Greg and Belinda A. |
Thanks Susan - you really put the customer first in the customer service. I appreciate your efforts in helping to finish that hard and last 1% of the building process. Janet and I really love our new Woodland home. You need to stop by one day and take a tour of how we "personalized" our home.
Although I did get upset over the "submit the right form" for warranty work, the warranty guys have really been on the ball and done an excellent job - by way of an improvement, you may want to rethink this policy. A hand delivered, typed listing is just as effective as the "form".
Mr. Quinto has been most courteous to my wife and very responsive in getting the contractors lined up to finish the job. They listen, they fix, and they take care of business. We still have a few items to complete but so far so good.
Thanks again,
Gary B. |
Dear Mr. Friday,
This past Thursday, I closed on the purchase of a Woodland home in Walden. My principal purpose for writing is to express my thanks to you an your staff for providing what has been to date, an extraordinarily good buying experience from sales through closing preparation, pre-house inspection, and settlement. Your staff has been terrific throughout-knowledgeable, professional, and very responsive. This is the fifth home I have purchased directly from a builder and this has by far been the most thorough and well-organized process I have been through.
Your company builds a great home and we are looking forward to moving into and enjoying ours.
Sincerely,
William L. |
Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks to you and your staff for making our first building experience as stress free as it could. Your office staff made us feel welcome and important. Our construction manager, Bill Lindstrom, was trustworthy, professional, and went the extra mile with us. We have been in our home one month tomorrow and we love ever square foot! Thanks again on a job well done!
Sincerely,
Holly and Dow C.

Dear Mike and Melissa:
We are writing this letter to express our satisfaction with your construction manager, Mr. Jeff Vernon. He did a great job managing the construction of our home in Jacobs Cove. We live in Leesburg, VA and were very concerned about how we could stay informed and oversee the building of the home when we lived so far away.
From the very beginning Jeff was very responsive to our concerns and the urgent need to complete the project on schedule. During construction Jeff kept us informed and was always available to discuss anything with us when we would call. When we were able to travel down he always accommodated our often short notice requests to meet and inspect the progress. His attention to detail and commitment to quality work was clearly reflected in how smoothly the pre-final and acceptance inspection went.
In this day and age it is rare to find people who are committed to customer satisfaction. Jeff is one of those rarities. His professionalism, initiative and positive can do attitude made my wife and I very comfortable and satisfied with our decision to choose Woodland Homes to build our retirement dream.
Sincerely Yours,
Raymond P. and Maureen F.

Dear Mike:
A note to thank you and your entire team for the fine job they performed in the construction of our house in Terrace Lake Gardens. The whole experience was a pleasure and has resulted in an attractive and very usable residence for Nancy and me. As you recall, we asked for a handicapped friendly home and that is what you and your team delivered. We are thankful to have it and to have people like you that understand customers with special needs.
One particular individual really helped us greatly in this effort. David Moss served as our Construction Manager and was an excellent partner for us. David was always available, always explained the more technical things about home construction, and most importantly, "walked the talk" that I believe is the message that Woodland Homes wants people to know and that is that you folks listen to customers and potential customers. We're glad David was assigned to us and we really appreciated David and the great job he did. In recognition of his excellent performance, please arrange to give David that enclosed Gift Card to Home Depot from Nancy and I as a small token of our gratitude.
Thanks again for a great job and a wonderful product. We wish you and your team every continued success.
Sincerely,
John C. |
Dear Mr. Friday,
When we made the decision to sell our home and build, there was no question that we would select Woodland Homes as our builder of choice. Now that our home is completed and we've been in it for several months, we cannot tell you how satisfied we are with our new home.
The professionalism and personal attention that we received from your staff has made the entire process a memorable experience. However, there are a few people that I would like to give special thanks to. Our first and most impressionable contact was with Joe Wilmer. It was truly a pleasure working with Joe from the selection and development of our floor plan to the successful sale of our home through the Help-U-Buy Program. He was not pushy, very honest and knowledgeable about the building process and made us feel very comfortable with our decision to build. Joe ensured service after the sale by contacting us weeks after closing to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. ReNaye also played a very instrumental role in the sale of our previous home and was truly a joy to work with. They are both very personable, friendly and genuine people. Please extend my appreciation to both Joe and ReNaye for their professionalism, sincerity and hard work.
We initially started out with Bill Lindstrom as our construction manager. Bill was very knowledgeable of the building process and was very accessible and responsive when we had questions. David Moss took over for Bill a few months into the building process. However, the transition was seamless and construction remained on schedule. David went above and beyond to keep us informed and answer our many questions. When unsure about something we decided on, he would contact us for clarification so the job would be completed to our exact specifications. He was always extremely courteous and accessible. His professionalism, positive attitude and enthusiasm ensured an open line of communication resulting in an excellent finished product.
We also had a very pleasant experience with Tony Nicholson and Lisa Miller. Tony was very patient and receptive to our ideas. We are very pleased with the quality, workmanship and installation of our cabinetry. Lisa was also great to work with and was very prompt in contacting us with information we had requested. Both Tony and Lisa were instrumental in helping us to beautifully customize our home to our specifications.
In regards to your sub-contractors, I had a pleasant experience with Angela Gordon at Inline Lighting. Her patience and knowledge of what works and what doesn't was very helpful in the lighting selection process. The tile crew from All Seasons were also wonderful to work with and did an excellent job with our kitchen tile design!
Most notably, the key to our successful experience with Woodland Homes was the professionalism and excellent customer service skills exhibited by every person we came in contact with. Please extend our appreciation for a job well done to your staff. I will continue to recommend Woodland Homes to anyone who is in the market for a well-built custom home. Thanks again to you and your staff for making this a truly enjoyable experience.
Sincerely,
Trevor and Michelle V. |
Mike:
We wanted to take a moment to write to you about your
staff. We can not say enough about all the wonderful
people we have worked with at Woodland Homes and your
subcontractors like Inline Lighting, Bob Wallace Appliances,
and Indian Creek Nursery. We really enjoyed working
with Carolyn Nemeth, Terri Pritchett, Tony Nicholson,
and Lisa Miller as they worked hard to make our home
buying experience a positive one.
We would like to highlight two people on your staff
who took many extra steps to meet our needs and expectations.
First, we can not say enough about Bill Lindstrom, our
Construction Manager. Having had to work initially long
distance from Germany, Bill was highly accommodating,
answering our questions from abroad as we would view
the progress via digital photos. Once we arrived, Bill
made time to show us the house progress in person and
was always available by phone and e-mail to answer questions
on various construction issues. Even through the closing
progress, Bill has been a close ally in helping to ease
us into our new home and resolve those remaining issues.
Secondly, we want to recognize Joe Wilmer who we initially
contacted via your detailed web-site from Germany. We
kept Joe on his toes with the latest in computer and
digital photography and Joe was outstanding at keeping
us informed before, during and after the buying process.
With Joe's help, we were able to spend a week in February
on our vacation to complete the buying and selection
process for our new home. And Joe has always been there
when we had questions about our contract, even up tot
he last minute.
Mike you have a great staff and it truly was evident
to us. We have had many people tell us how they will
never build a new home; however we cannot say that.
Woodland Homes is on top of it all and made sure in
the end the customer receives a quality product. We
will be passing our "good news story" to all
of our friends who are looking to build a house and
hopefully will be sending more business your way!
Sincerely,
Troy and Theresa W.

Hello
Mr. Friday:
Just a few lines to express our appreciation to you
and your staff. We recently moved into our new home
at Hidden Valley Road. This was a very important decision
in our life. At the age of 71 years it's very hard mentally
to admit that the every day work of maintaining a 3,000
square footage home and a large yard is no longer possible
for my wife and me. We considered smaller homes and
yards which gave no true benefits to my failing physical
health. After a one year debate and my poor health increase,
we decided that a patio home would be the answer to
our problem. This decision was made in the month of
October 2003.
We visited every patio home development in Madison
County and a few in locations in Limestone County. The
patio homes on Jeff Road and your development, Terrace
Lake Gardens, were competitors for our decision. Since
we both have been retired many years and our income
was fixed, we must take into consideration the cost
for home association dues, a monthly maintenance expense,
sewer monthly cost, and so forth. Would this be a good
investment for my wife in future years with my failing
health? Mr. Ron Cox and wife formerly friends from Hidden
Creek Subdivision seem to enjoy the living style in
their new patio home. This and after prayers, we decided
on the present location April 18, 2004. In this decision,
we put our house on the market for sale pending the
purchase of our new patio home.
It was not until we received a firm offer on our home
in Hidden Creek Subdivision, that we realized that our
dream was about to happen. Our fist visit to your office,
we had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn Nemeth. That
is when pieces of the puzzle for hose closing hit us.
The Customer Services Manual and Carolyn's presentation
was well used in our discussions and steps for closing
procedures. The coordination for sale and purchase was
well handled by Carolyn with our lawyer. Our house inspection
with Mr. Jeff Smith was professionally done. He took
our complaints and requirements and filled them within
a week. Even the young woman at the front desk in your
office was nice and courteous to my wife and me.
The opportunity to move into our new patio home one
day sooner before closing was of great value to us and
a great money saver. We thank you, your wife and staff
for the great services that Woodland Homes provided
for us. Moving to a new location at my age has been
very hard. Without my super wife, you and your staff
and Two Men and a Truck, this would have been impossible
for me. We thank you and your and my God Bless Woodland
Homes

Mike and Melissa Friday,
This is just a quick note to let you know how pleased
Marshall and I are with Keith Vernon in the Warranty
Department. We just recently had our One Year and Keith
was the supervisor and did an outstanding job. Absolutely
everything got taken care of and it was because Keith
was always one step ahead. He was very thorough, very
professional and very kind. Woodland Homes Inc. has
a wonderful employee in Keith Vernon.
Thank you Keith and thank you Woodland Homes Inc. for
taking care of us! I am always sending home buying prospects

Dear
Mr. Friday,
My husband and I purchased our home in March, we are
finally settled in and I wanted to take a minute to
say Thank You. Our buying experience was wonderful.
You should know that Eric Gibbs went above and beyond
to make sure our house was ready before closing. We
demanded allot from Eric because our Sales Rep. had
transferred just before our closing date but it did
not phase him at all. He took care of all our needs
in a timely fashion. I know from previous experiences
with Woodland homes that all of your staff is as efficient
as Eric and I am proud to tell everyone I know that
I have a Woodland home.
Warmest Regards,
Misty S.

Dear
Mike,
I am one of your new homeowners in Jacobs Cove at 110
Pearle Cove Drive. We are just about out of the boxes
and have made great headway in the transition from beautiful
house to our home. We can't wait to show the house to
our family and friends.
Throughout the six month process, I was very close
to every development in the construction process. During
this time I had the distinct pleasure to work with Eric
Gibbs, your construction manager. Eric did an outstanding
job in dealing with this customer. He was very accessible,
courteous, and receptive to my comments. He took the
time to explain what was happening and what to expect
next. he responded to my observations and made sure
the house was built to my original specifications. Eric
is an excellent intermediary between the homeowner and
the tradesmen on site. We even made a couple of "common
sense" changes after start of construction. I appreciate
his efforts to ensure that we are completely satisfied
in our Woodland Home.
Please extend my appreciate to Eric and the rest of
your professional staff for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Robert G.

Please accept my sincerest appreciation for the fine
job that Mr. Matt Lombardi, Operations Manager of your
company, and his staff has been doing during the pre/post
sale of my daughter's house.
Mr. Lombardi's enthusiasm and ability to motivate the
personnel, coupled with his kindness and responsiveness,
is a valuable asset of your company.
I would appreciate if you would thank Mr. Lombardi
on my behalf, for all the help and support provided
to my daughter and myself.
Best Regards,

Dear
Mike,
We wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was to
work with you and your company. We love everything about
our new home. The professionalism of your staff made
the entire process an experience we will always remember.
We would like to thank Jeff Nay for all of his assistance
in the buying process. We would especially like to thank
our Construction Manager, Eric Gibbs, whose knowledge
and responsiveness kept our comfort factor high and
our stress level low. Working with Eric was an extreme
pleasure. His attitude was always positive and he worked
hard to ensure that our home was completed on schedule.
We are looking forward to many happy years in our wonderful
home and great neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Jim & Tonya S.

Mike,
I wanted to express my appreciation to Woodland Homes
in general and to Jeff Vernon in particular for the
prompt, courteous and professional manner he and his
workers completed the items listed on our 60 day list
this week. To Woodland omes' credit, it wasn't a very
large list as you folks did a great job in building
and getting our home ready last year. We are very pleased
with the quality of construction, the attractiveness
of our home, the finishes, everything. Thank you and
all the staff and workers at Woodland Homes.

Dear
Woodland Homes,
We just wanted to express our appreciation and gratitude
to everyone on staff for making the process of building
a home such a memorable and enjoyable experience.
We would first like to thank Joe and Re-Naye Wilmer
for their help throughout the whole process. Not only
in the initial step with Woodland, but in trying to
sell our old house through the Help-U-Buy program. We
also appreciate the fact that we weren't pressured into
anything and that he didn't mind the numerous calls
about the building process.
Most of all, thanks to our construction managers: Andy
and Eric. Both our CMs were very helpful throughout
the process. They didn't mind meeting us at the house
and letting us show them any and all concerns that we
had. They always had an answer for our questions and
saw that any issues were resolved promptly. Our process
started with Andy as our CM. Any time that we would
call Andy, he would try to respond within 24 hours.
Many times, any concerns that we had, he had already
addressed. About mid-way through the process, Eric became
our CM. We can't say enough about the attention our
house got from Eric. He went out of his way to make
sure that we understood everything that was going on
during construction and that we were comfortable during
the process. As we met to talk about the progress, Eric
would give us tips on maintaining the house. We also
can't express how nice it was that Eric always answered
his phone when we would call with questions. Thanks
again-you both made this process enjoyable for us.
The whole team at Woodland should be commended. All
of you have been great and we have told everyone who
is thinking about building a home how knowledgeable
your team is and how easy the process of building a
home has been for us and can be for them.
Thanks,
Joseph and Monaca H.

| Dear Mr. Friday,
I would like to express my sincere thanks to you and
your staff for the way my wife and I were treated during
our building process. It all begins with Joe Wilmer
& his professionalism. Joe spent several hours &
several appointments with us to explain many options
we had in choosing our beautiful home. Joe was never
"pushy" and was always sincere with his opinions.
We gave him several likes & dislikes that we see
in a home & he reviewed them & concluded that
the "Foxley" would be the best floor plan
for our needs & price range. We were fortunate enough
to find this home that was already in the process but
not so far along that we couldn't pick colors, flooring,
etc. This is when we met our Construction Manager Andy
Olsen. Andy explained how the process would go and so
on. Shortly after, he was transferred to Walden Subdivision
which is when we met our new Construction Manager, Eric
Gibbs This guy was Great! He was extremely efficient,
honest, professional and most of all responsive. There
was never one time that Eric did not return my calls
or follow up with any concern that I had. Eric was great
at scheduling sub-contractors to come in & complete
certain tasks that were needed. This guy is a Go-Getter
& has no problem getting in there & sweating
to get the job done. Eric made our building process
an enjoyable experience. We couldn't be an y happier
with the work that he provided. Eric is truly an asset
to your company & we wish him all the luck in his
career. We could not have asked for anyone better to
oversee the construction of our home.
Kudos to Eric Gibbs!!!!

All Woodland Homes Personnel,
We are writing this letter to tell you what a great
job you did in the planning and construction of our
home. We've been in the house for a little more than
a month now and we love it!
Everyone on the staff was always ready and willing
to answer our numerous questions and satisfy our many
demands. Carolyn was a great help in making the whole
process go smoothly-thanks for your extra effort and
sunny disposition. Andy, our construction manager, had
a huge job in coordinating the many tasks that were
going on continuously, while taking every new homeowner's
calls, researching the problems, and getting back with
answers. We appreciated your expertise and professionalism.
Eric Gibbs took over for Andy at the end and did a fabulous
job, going over and above what he was required to do
from the punch list, and continued to be there for us
afterwards. Lisa, Tony and Terry were very helpful with
their suggestions, making it possible to make informed
decisions, especially for first time homeowners like
us who were ready to kill each other a few times.
The whole process is a smoothly run operation which
makes it easier on the new homeowner. The binders and
packets of information handed out to us are well organized
and will be valuable references for future use.
Thank you for making the whole experience as painless
as possible. You were all a joy to work with and we
hope to continue our friendship with you!
Patty and Doug C.

P.S.
We decided to take the plunge a little earlier than
planned, and got married the day after we closed on
the house. Of course this was bad planning because now
we have to submit new paperwork!

| To
Mike and Melissa Friday, and To The Entire Staff of
Woodland Homes-
I have looked at Woodland Homes for 2 years and am
so happy to finally live in one. Time does fly by as
it seems as though yesterday we made the decision to
build with Woodland Homes. The process has been an enjoyable
one because of our Construction Manager, Jeff Jackson.
You truly have a very special hared working gentleman
on your staff that truly cares for his home owners.
Jeff has made the process an enjoyable one because he
always had his eye on things and made sure that Marshall
and I were pleased . He always called with updates and
information and always made himself available when we
had questions or concerns. There were days that I would
be out at the house checking up on things and Jeff would
walk up to the job site and see if I had any questions.
To me, that showed true commitment and that he honestly
cares. To sum it up, Jeff Jackson always went the extra
mile and would go over and above to make sure Marshall
and I were happy and taken care of. WE appreciate his
hard work and did not want it to go unnoticed.
Sincerely,
Marshall & Julianna Y. |
| Dear Mr. Friday,
Recently, I provided to your office a list of items
that needed to be addressed.
In connection therewith, I need to bring to your attention
the performance and attitude of one of your staff members,
Eric Gibbs.
Mr. Gibbs has addressed problems brought to the attention
of Woodland Homes by us on several occasions. Each time,
he has been extremely polite, very helpful and has taken
care of the problem with dispatch in a courteous and
most professional manner.
In short, he is a very positive representative of Woodland
Homes and certainly confirms the old truism that no
product is any better than the service provided. We
thank you for the product and for the service. Mr. Gibbs
continues to uphold the fine reputation of Woodland
Homes.
Sincerely,
Joan M. |
| Dear Woodland Homes
Staff,
When my husband and I decided to have our first home
built, rather than buy a pre-existing home, we weren't
sure what to expect. We had heard so many great things
about Woodland Homes through our friends, so we met
with Joe Wilmer & found out more about what you
had to offer. We were very relieved to be given a home-building
manual that went through the entire process step by
step so there was never a question of what we were supposed
to do. It was so easy to understand, and was extremely
helpful to us in getting started.
At our "Start of Construction" meeting, we
met with our Construction Manager, Jeff Jackson. He
was very eager to get started on our home, and answered
any questions we had. He gave us his personal cell phone
number and told us to call him any time, day or night
with any questions or concerns we might have in the
future. Through the next several months of construction,
Jeff made himself available to us anytime we needed
to meet with him, and was either on our construction
site or in our neighborhood at all times. He took great
care to keep us informed of the progress on the house,
and let us know anytime there was going to be even the
smallest hold-up or delay due to weather, etc. Jeff
was very professional through the entire building process,
yet he was also personable and easy to approach. He
made us feel like our home was his first priority, and
we could not have been happier with his work.
My husband Rusty and I will definitely recommend Woodland
to everyone that is even thinking of building a home,
because we feel like a part of the family. We are very
luck to have been guided so smoothly through the seemingly
scary process of building. We are so proud of our beautiful
new house, and feel like we made a very wise investment.
We also made a wise choice in Woodland Homes as our
builder.
We would like to thank everyone that was so helpful
to us from start to finish, from the office staff to
the construction workers, and especially Jeff Jackson.
It has been a happy and rewarding experience.
Yours Truly,
Meredith B. |
| Mike:
I had planned on writing this letter from our new home
in Walden, however as you know our situation changed
shortly before we were scheduled to close. I do want
to express my sincere thanks to you and your staff for
the way we were treated throughout the process.
Our first contact was with Joe Wilmer as we considered
purchasing a home in Walden. Joe was very helpful and
informative in showing us lot and home options. He was
never "pushy" and was always available to
help and answer questions. After the start of construction,
Jeff Jackson went above and beyond to ensure we were
satisfied during the construction process. If I saw
something that had been missed, it was always corrected
before I had a chance to mention it. Carolyn Nemeth
was also very helpful during the pre-construction process
and as we neared closing.
You and your team deliver an exceptional product from
start to finish. Even though we did not close, you made
our experience pleasant. In the financial industry as
I encounter new home buyers, I will certainly direct
them to Woodland Homes.
Thanks again for your kindness and willingness to help.
I wish the best for you and your staff. Please don't
ever hesitate to call on me if I can assist in any way.
Sincerely,
Kevin M. |
| Dear
Mike,
Rose and I would like to formally commend our construction
manager, Jeff Jackson on an excellent job with our recent
home purchase. As the process began we soon discovered
purchasing a home from the lot stage requires many steps
and complicated coordination. Jeff orchestrated this
process diligently and professionally throughout difficult
weather obstacles. His daily inspections were reassuring
that all phases of the construction process were supervised
and met standards both in front of and behind the walls.
We truly believe Woodland Homes has the right philosophy
in producing top quality homes with superior attention
to detail. Quality managers like Jeff make the obvious
difference in your product and the competitions.
Sincerely,
Chet S.

| Dear Melissa and
Mike,
Mimi and I would like to let you know what a pleasure
it has been to purchase our home from you. A job offer
in Huntsville and retirement from the U.S. Army made
finding a new home in Hunstville a high priority. The
first time we walked into the model home and began talking
with representatives from Woodland Homes we knew without
a doubt we were dealing with an organization that had
to homeowners needs foremost in every way.
After almost a year in our home I can still state that
dealing with Johnny Yell all prior to closing and Melissa
Friday on warranty items has been a pleasure. When Mike
Friday states that a contractor will contact you within
24 hours to rectify a problem "It will happen".
The few problems we have had have been corrected in
a most expeditious manner and scheduled in a fashion
that was convenient to the homeowner.
I have and will continue to recommend Woodland Homes
to my friends. Woodland Homes made buying a home a most
pleasurable experience.
Sincerely,
David & Mimi K. |
| Dear
Mr. Friday,
This is just a quick note to express our satisfaction
with the work that was done on our custom home built
by Woodland Homes. Jeff Smith was our construction manager
and he assisted us through the many decisions in our
fist-time building experience. His willingness to satisfy
our wishes made building our home a much less stressful
experience than it could have been. Jeff was very accessibly,
accommodating, and offered many useful and practical
suggestions to not only facilitate the process, but
to improve both the appearance and the functionality
of our new home.
Also, our experience with Tony Nicholson, was a joy.
His professionalism and unlimited patience was much
appreciated. Tony stayed after hours to help us with
our cabinet selection which I must say, we are extremely
happy with. The kitchen, in our opinion, is our favorite
room in the house!
In addition, the gentlemen who installed by hardwoods
and ceramic tile, Daniel and Nathan, were wonderful
to work with. They were professional, knowledgeable,
and would ask for clarification instead of assuming
I would prefer one thing to another.
Thus far, I'm very happy with how our home turned out.
We've had many compliments from neighbors and from strangers
who have happened to drive by our house. These unsolicited
comments mean the most, so we felt it was important
to pass these glowing words on to the people most responsible.
While the overall experience was not without its problems,
miscommunications, and minor difficulties, I expect
that no home-building process is. We are currently compiling
our 60-day list and will be in touch with Woodland Homes
(Melissa) at the proper time to arrange for repairs.
Please pass along our appreciation to all the people
involved in helping us to build our new home and get
moved in (before Christmas, by the way) in an expeditious
manner. We are thankful for their efforts, and look
forward to continuing our good relationship.
Sincerely,
Todd and Melissa L.

| Mr. Friday,
Sandra and I would like to extend a big thanks to all
the people associated with the Woodland Homes for their
professionalism. Each person that we had contact with
was very professional and worked very hard to meet our
needs. As we are in the process of moving into our new
home, we are very pleased with our choice of selection
and in selecting a Woodland Homes home. The Overland
Trace subdivision is a very nice area and is in a prime
location. We are very impressed with the Woodland Homes
interior and exterior design appeal and the quality
of workmanship seen throughout their homes that led
us to have our new home to be built by Woodland.
We would like to give a big thanks to Curt Reinhart
for putting up with our scrutiny and straining his patience
in working with us in developing our wants and ideas
into a modified Foxwood model floor plan.
Thanks to Terri Pritchett for her ability to know what
works and what doesn't work so well and incorporated
those changes and additions we had discussed with Curt
into the Foxwood model floor plan that would become
the basis of our new home.
I believe that it was to our good fortune that Jeff
Smith was assigned as our Construction Manager for our
new home. A very special thanks goes to Jeff for getting
the job completed, and his patience for putting up with
my pickiness and scrutiny during the building and final
phase prior to closing. We certainly had our problems
and frustrations associated with the construction of
our new home, not because of Jeff, but that he was just
the focal point for everything getting done. In all
fairness however, we realize that Jeff was overseeing
several homes under construction and that he could not
watch the subs all the time. He returned phone calls
and made himself accessible with his busy schedule.
We put our trust in Jeff's judgment and everything worked
out fine. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff (probably
not him with me) and I would highly recommend him to
anyone as a Construction Manager. With some minor problems,
most were out of his control, but the work he performed
was and is of top quality. The home was built on time
and constructed with the expected high quality of woodland
Homes. Again, thanks to Jeff for a job well done.
Thanks, for building a wonderful house that we will
be proud to call our home. The quality of Woodland Homes
is above what other builders are providing. Our home
is a very well built home with many extras throughout
that reflect the superior quality and standards set
by Woodland Homes. We would recommend Woodland Homes
to anyone looking to have a home built!

Mike,
We wanted to tell you how pleased we are with our Woodland
home that we recently purchased from you and to commend
our construction manager, Jeff Jackson, for the job
he did in getting our home completed to our satisfaction.
He was very pleasant to deal with throughout the process
and always had a positive attitude. He is an asset to

| Dear Mr. Friday,
We made it! It is the night before closing and we feel
just like kids on Christmas Eve. This time tomorrow
we will be the proud owners of a Preston home from the
Woodland Homes Classic Series. You and your team have
delivered a truly beautiful and soundly built house
whose quality far exceeds the approximately 40 other
homes we toured. Thank you so much.
All your employees have been extremely helpful and
are clearly knowledgeable experts in their respective
fields, but three people stood especially tall in our
minds. First, we would like to thank Terri Pritchett.
She patiently shared her outstanding design expertise
and made great suggestions while helping us make the
small modifications that so personalized this home for
us.
Next we would like to thank Johnnie Yell for his helpful
guidance up to and including the pre-construction meeting.
His superior knowledge of the building business and
willingness to explain products and process in-depth
made us comfortable and confident in our choices.
Most importantly we would like to thank Jeff Jackson-
the man who made it all happen. He worked long hours
as Construction Manager for our house, scheduling and
guiding workers, ordering materials and building in
quality from the ground up. Jeff's pleasant and professional
demeanor, his quick turnaround on our questions, and
most of all his careful attention to detail proved him
to be head-and-shoulders above all others. Jeff knew
what he was doing and clearly took his responsibilities
seriously. Our beautiful home is a permanent testimony
to the incredible efforts of this man.
Please see that Terri, Johnnie and Jeff receive our
appreciation and once again, thank you and Woodland
Homes for our beautiful new home.
Sincerely,
Andrew & Kerri D. |
| Mike,
During the closing on my new home with Carolyn about
10 days ago, she said that you were interested in receiving
feedback (good and bad) from the homeowners on their
experiences during the building process. I would just
like to say that the overall experience was very good
and I have no complaints. The most important asset you
have are your employees and their business knowledge
and communication skills. Specifically, I would like
to mention two people that directly support you and
one that is a subcontractor. Both Carolyn and Johnny
have b been a pleasure to work with and have been very
good at taking care of all the small details and answering
my questions (which were sometimes numerous). During
the last few days before closing, I had the opportunity
to witness some of the final work being performed by
the subs as they responded to some of my comments on
things that needed to be corrected/changed. Specifically,
Jackie Yell (of the painting crew), was focused on doing
the painting and doing it correctly (vs the quickest
and easiest was to check the box and move to the next
house). A good paint job can make or break the final
appearance of a home, regardless of how well it may
have been constructed.
All three of these employees are interested in getting
the job done and getting it done correctly! Since most
of the feedback you receive may be complaints, I just
wanted to take the time to provide you with some feedback
and acknowledge the good work these three individuals
have done.

Friday:
We want to express our appreciation for your exceptional
attention to detail in building our beautiful home.
Your team was awesome to work with! Carolyn, Jeff, Tony,
Lisa and the rest of the team were all so helpful and
we found building a house with you a pleasure. Mike,
you definitely did "listen"

Also, the binder we were given was very helpful and

everything was done on time as promised. We appreciate
your assistance and punctuality during the building
process as we were relocating to this area. Thank you
so much!

| Dear
Mike,
We wish to express our thanks for building us such
a beautiful new home. Your Woodland Homes team is great!
They helped us through each step of the building process.
Special thanks should also be given to Jeff Jackson,
your Construction Manager. We can't say enough wonderful
things to express how helpful and responsive Jeff was
to our needs and concerns when building our new home.
He gave us excellent service and made our building experience
a pleasant event in our transition to Madison.
Thanks also should be given to Joe Wilmer and Carolyn
Nemeth for the helpful information in the Woodland Homes
binder and the helpful to do list before closing. The
binder was a great organizer. The to do list was a big
help too.
We love our new home. Your help and the excellent workmanship
are truly appreciated.

Scott, Terrace Lake Gardens
Dear Mike,
We have just completed closing on our new home in Terrace
Lake Gardens. From the Beginning, our building process
was pleasant and efficient. We feel that is is due to
the efforts of our Construction Manager, Andrew Olsen.
Andy was very receptive and attuned to all our requests
and was courteous and efficient in providing answers
for us.
There were some situations created because you allowed
us to personally customize our home--Andy was not stressed
by these situations and was congenial and cooperative
to our sub-contractors. Each and every contact has been
professional--Andy is an asset to Woodland Homes. Thank
you for allowing him to supervise our home building.
And, thank you Woodland Homes, et al, for our new home.
Sincerely,

| Mirka
and Zbigniew S, Jacobs Cove
Dear Mike,
We have just moved to our new home and are happy. Our
choice of Woodland Homes was supported by several factors:
privacy of subdivision, good uniform architecture, good
interior design quality, prospective subdivision location,
county property tax, but the most important were our
impressions about company. We collected only positive
references.
We expect that some detailed feedback can be useful
for you.
First we would like to honor Curt Reihardt with whom
we discussed the home and contract details. We are not
fluent in English, and not familiar with US procedures.
Curt was very patient to explain us every detail. There
were tough moments in the negotiations. We evaluated
the cost of extra improvements as too high. Curt's personality
helped to achieve compromise. Thanks Curt.
Andy Olsen was our Construction Manager. Home was on
time and made with the expected high quality. We trust
Andy. Everything what we have discussed was done. He
did the largest part of this job. The progress in the
first months was so rapid, that we were shocked how
it can be coordinated so efficiently. It was a pleasure
to build home with Andy.
Design (Lisa): very good selection of ceramic tiles,
countertops. Cabinets presented to us initially didn't
satisfy our demands. We have been satisfied with cabinets
provided by new subcontractor. We couldn't choose shingle
of desired color.
Richard's Lighting is a good choice. Quality, good
selection of lamps, very nice service (Sabina).
Flooring was a weak point. Quality of finishing isn't
the highest (slots, jumps). In contract hardwood was
solid, more than 1/2 inch thick. Without consulting
us 1/6 inch manufactured hardwood was put onto the floor.
We have accepted it only because of Woodland Homes's
attitude to us.
Mike, you have built extremely efficient, professional
team that additionally has "human face". Our
previous experiences with builders cannot compare. We
do not know who supported our idea of building home
while waiting for change of our status enabling receiving
of good mortgage, but for sure you accepted it. And
it works. We have a good mortgage and home, you have
a customer and instantaneous return of invested funds.
Thanks for this flexibility.
We wish you and your team a continuous development.

Dear Mr. Friday:
Diane and I would like to thank you and all your company
employees for the care, quality and professionalism
exhibited throughout the process of constructing our
home. Each and every person that we had personal contact
with was a true professional and worked very hard to
provide us the best possible service available.
When Diane and I first started talking about building
a house we knew that as an out-of-state customer it
would be imperative for us to find a construction company
with a very high level of integrity, commitment to quality,
and service to the customer. Both Diane and I feel blessed
that Woodland Homes, and all of its employees exhibit
all the attributes mentioned.
Diane and I realize that in the process of building
a house there are many people that contribute to its
success or failure. In our case we would like to express
our deepest appreciation to Joe Filmier for working
with us in developing our ideas into workable solutions,
and Jeff Jackson for sticking with us each step of the
way to ensure our solutions were executed.
As the Construction Manager (CM), Jeff worked very
hard to keep the house on schedule and at the high quality
standards that we expected. When there were problems,
like with some of the brickwork, he immediately took
action. Diane and I would like to personally thank Jeff
for his high level of commitment to delivering our house
within budget, on time, and with the high quality standards
expected. Again we feel blessed that Jeff was our CM.
Mr. Friday, you have built a company with many true
professionals and have made our experience of building
a house a pleasure. We want to thank you and everyone
involved for his or her contribution and commitment.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Ed & Diane O.

| Bruce
M., Overland Trace
Mike,
Now that we have completed our home building experience,
I just wanted to give you some feedback.
First, even with several minor hassles that is to be
expected when embarking on such a project, the building
process and final product was and is first rate. Thanks
for building a fantastic house. The quality of a Woodland
home is clearly above what other builders are offering
in the same price range. Pam and I could only be happier
if our other house sold. Hey, you don't know anyone
looking for a 2300 sq ft used house would you?
Anyhow, I just felt the need to commend some of the
people on your team. First and foremost is Joe Wilmer.
This guy is an absolute gem. Whatever it takes to keep
him happy, do it. I cannot tell you how helpful he was
every time we called. When frustrations built up, Joe
was the man. Always a good listener, and always followed
through with his word. Joe makes me
rethink my rather bad opinion of realtors.
Coupled with this was the entire "build your custom
dream home" Woodland capability. Joe had every
thing priced out and we added and added and added stuff.
However, even considering the escalating price tag,
we have a unique home that contains everything we wanted.
On top of this, your company procedures allowed us to
make nearly 40 changes to the plans and the house was
built not missing one of them. We were shocked and very
pleased. I would however suggest maybe getting a way
to better show the client what has been done in the
past. Reading a price list that says 5 foot arched window
is not as dramatic as seeing it. When we saw the double
octagon tray ceiling in your Walden model, it was a
must have. Maybe a more extensive photo catalog or maybe
a video showing some of the more dramatic things. Since
I am sure you make a profit on add-ons, you might want
to think about something along these lines.
I also want to thank you (Mike) for coordinating everything
so that we could close when we needed. Also, even though
you had every right to give us the smaller kitchen island,
you took the cost and gave us what we wanted. Truly
a man who understands business. You willingness to work
with the client is outstanding. I don't know if I will
be able to throw any business your way, but everyone
I talk about homes with is going to know how good your
company and finished product is.
I also want to thank Caroline for her availability,
honesty and business like attitude. Her coming to our
house the day we were moving to give us the keys to
our dream home was over the top. It is the small things
that make such a big impact.
Finally I want to thank Jeff Smith for getting the
job done. While we certainly had our frustrations with
Jeff, being the superintendent made him the focal point
for just about everything. In fairness however, we do
realize that he is not God and that the subs can give
everyone fits. He always returned our phone calls and
was easily accessible.
He also did not attempt to short change us in any way
or cut any corners. During our walk through, I had several
typed pages of things from large to small. He took everyone
and didn't complain. He went out of his way to show
me that some attic insulation was there and then fixed
the hole that was made. And even though my list was
rather long, he saw things that we
missed and he had them repaired. Some pretty nice touches
too. Jeff handled the first seven building phases like
a pro. Not a glitch and there was work performed nearly
every day. Absolutely fantastic coordination. There
were some frazzled nerves during the last three phases
of construction, but I am sure that Jeff will soon iron
these out also.
As far as the subs, here is my short feedback
Richards Lighting (Mac) - great guy, easy to work with.
Huntsville Lumber (Estile (sp?)) - Small [oops], but
recovered nicely.
Floor Fashions (David Jones) - Never returned a phone
call, promised tile on one day it was delivered over
a week later. Didn't tell installers that there was
supposed to be hardwood in the master bedroom. Didn't
have the grout installed in the fireplace for so long
it held up the carpet installers. Overall rating D minus.
Mega-Trends - Waited until the last minute to do anything.
The master bath tub was not enclosed until the night
before we moved in. Likewise the shower door we had
ordered for the upstairs shower. Not impressive.
Cabinet installer - I cannot remember his name, but
a great job, and those cabinets you now order are top
notch.
Thanks again for everything and I am sure your continued
60 day and one year follow-up will be equally impressive.
One satisfied customer

Estate I want to commend Andy Olsen on the excellent
job he did for Geoff and Sally G in Jacobs Cove Subdivision.
He worked hard to get their house completed on schedule
and did an excellent job in coordinating his subs without
sacrificing quality, all the while keeping focused on
the G's needs and concerns. He and Johnnie Yell
both work hard to give the kind of service today's busy
buyers need ... and demand.

Subdivision We would like to take this opportunity
to congratulate you and the rest of the Woodland Homes
Team on your exceptional performance. Our new
home has it all, the right location and the right
floor plan produced by a builder who builds it
right the first time. Quality is such an over-used
word these days, but your team personifies that ordeal.
When we arrive in Huntsville last August, we were impressed
with the seven-step process that Woodland Homes uses
to deliver the house the buyer desires. You modified
this process to meet our compressed time frame, but
at no time did you sacrifice 'attention to detail' to
save time. You and your staff, particularly Mr.
Andy Olsen and Ms. Carolyn Nemeth, have been responsive
to all of our questions and needs. You have lived
up to your motto "The Builder That Listens". Our
compliments on a job well done.

| Patrick and Jennifer
E Patrick and I would like to personally thank
you and your staff again for your work on our new home.
As you will recall, we have had a tremendous time with
home builders in the past, and, in all honesty, were
very nervous about selecting our next one. It sees that
we were often treated as a threat or nuisance to them,
and many times were lied to and told to just be
happy with what we were getting. To add to that,
we were further insulted by being treated as "young
kids", and it just made us feel like walking targets
for abuse and neglect. Fortunately, Woodland Homes
was not the typical builder. From the start to
finish, you and your staff exemplified the highest caliber
of quality and service that we would expect with such
a major event in our lives. We would, if you please,
like to comment on each person who we felt went above
and beyond our expectations.
To you, Joe Wilmer, thank you for your honesty, effort,
and warm heart. We appreciate your frankness and
willingness to do whatever it took to ease our minds
with our decision. We thank you, too, for helping
direct us to the right person for our questions and
concerns, although, many times you provided all that
we needed.
To you, Terri Pritchett, thank you for your perfectionism!
We appreciate your listening skills and ability to know
what works-and what doesn't.
To you, Carolyn Nemeth, thank you so much for your
patience! Although there were very few times we
felt a little lost in what we needed to do and we always
felt that you were full of patience when telling us
the same thing you probably tell everyone several times!
We do appreciate you and your kindness.
To you, Andy Olsen, thank you. Thank you for
your dedication to your career, and thank you for your
attention to detail. you have been a true blessing
to us in our home building. You are so organized,
and we cannot say enough about your heart. It
took heart to help us move a few boxes into our garage
in the cold rain during our move, and we are still amazed
at the perfect house you have created for us.
Thank you, too, for your patience with us when we called
you sometimes for what we now see a trivial.
And, certainly not least, to you Mike, thank you.
We truly enjoyed this experience, and we cannot say
enough about the organization and teamwork you have
created. Of all the many things that I can say
about you and your company, communication with your
clients is your biggest asset. Everything was
clearly laid out before us, and it continues to feel
that way with you by our side in the Warranty Department.
Like you say, you truly are "the builder that listens"!
If there is anything we can ever to to help you build
and grow as a company, please don't hesitate to call
upon us.

| Roger B., Forest Pointe Subdivision
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for
the outstanding efforts by Mr. Johnny Yell during construction
of our new home, From January 2000 to mid May 2000.
During this period, Mr. Yell demonstrated unique and
exceptional abilities, which earned him a high degree
of respect from both my wife and I for both is professional
and personable skills. his professional skills
were tested on a number of occasions, and each time,
he resolved issues that could have resulted in serious
conflicts during the construction period. My Yell's
abilities at understanding and his timely actions to
resolve issues we had during the construction period
were exceptional.
I have worked in the construction industry for some
thirty plus years, and Mr. Yell, in my opinion, ranks
with some of the most impressive personnel that I have
had contact with during my career. My wife and
I both have the highest regards for Mr. Yell and wish
him a happy and prosperous future.
I would also like to extend my congratulations to Woodland
Homes for employing such a highly professional person
such as Mr. Yell and my personal thanks for your efforts
to construct a quality home for my wife and I.
We are enjoying it very much. Thank you.
