Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all interior and exterior design selections across multiple communities and product lines
Create and curate cohesive design packages that align with brand standards, target demographics, and current market trends
Direct and elevate the customer design studio experience, ensuring a high-touch, luxury-level service from contract to completion
Oversee all client design consultations, ensuring selections are cohesive, functional, and aligned with construction timelines
Implement and maintain efficient systems for documenting and inputting design selections within CRM software (Newstar or equivalent)
Collaborate cross-functionally with construction, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure design integrity, budget adherence, and build feasibility
Manage vendor relationships, material sourcing, and showroom merchandising to maintain a polished, inspiring studio environment
Monitor design trends, pricing structures, and product availability to proactively adjust offerings and maintain competitive positioning
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in residential interior design, home building design, or production home design leadership
Proven experience leading a team or managing a design studio environment
Strong understanding of construction processes, timelines, and product specifications
Exceptional client-facing communication skills with the ability to confidently guide high-investment design decisions
Strong organizational and operational mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
A refined design aesthetic with the ability to balance creativity, profitability, and efficiency
